Bundles of the Day - December

Thursday 31st December- Jindabyne March

Today's curated bundle is Jindabyne March - 16 fat quarters of prints and solids including Art Gallery Fabrics, Ruby Star Society and some Robert Kaufman Kitchen Window Wovens.

Click here for some ideas for what you could make this this bundle. This could make a beautiful Tailfeather quilt by Suzy Quilts or maybe an Agnes quilt by Penelope Handmade.

I have no commentary for why it's called Jindabyne March- it doesn't even make sense :-)

Wednesday 30th December- Woodland Huntress

Today's curated bundle is Woodland Huntress. 10 fat quarters of woodsy calming colours in Kona, Devonstone and Bella.

Click here for some ideas for what you could make with this bundle. I'm thinking Suzy quilts Mod Mountain quilt (in throw size) could be a lovely soothing option. In fact I'm thinking I may need to make one myself!

Why Woodland Huntress? A woodsy bundle with a touch of pink :-)

Tuesday 29th December- Sweet Daisies

Today's curated bundle is Sweet Daisies. 16 fat quarters of cheerfulness including Cotton and Steel Primavera, Art Gallery Fabrics and some Kona and Bella solids.

Click here for some ideas for what you could make with this bundle. I actually made this bundle to try and come closeish to my Homespun quilt (which I still haven't finished) - pattern by Modernly Morgan.

Why Sweet Daisies? The whites greens and yellows just reminded me of daisies :-)

Monday 28th December- Calypso Quartet

Today's curated bundle is Calypso Quartet. 10 fat quarters of bright and cheerful Kona, Devonstone and and Bella solids.

Click here for some ideas for what you could make with this bundle. What about Homemade Emily Jane's Reverberate Quilt? To really make the colours pop you could use a bright white background fabric and maybe a gold or caramel accent colour?

Why Calypso Quartet? I was upstairs making bundles and texted a photo of this bundle to the Chief Naming Officer and he texted back "Calypso Quartet". You don't question an artist's work :-)

Sunday 27th December- Prairie Delight

After a couple of days hiatus, bundles of the day is back! I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas.

Today's curated bundle is Prairie Delight. 16 fat quarters of Ruby Start Society (including some Golden Hour), Art Gallery Fabric, Kona, Devonstone and and Bella solids.

Click here for some ideas for what you could make with this bundle. What about Modernly Morgan's Homespun Quilt? This is a similar colour palette to the one I made a few months ago.

Why Prairie delight? I was feeling farmhouse vibes with the checks and the colour range reminded me of a prairie. (And my Chief Naming Officer is fishing so had to rely on my own substandard naming skills.

Thursday 24th December- Fruit Tingles

Today's curated bundle is Fruit Tingles. 14 pastelly fat quarters of Kona, Devonstone and and Bella solids.

Click here for some ideas for what you could make with this bundle. What about a pastel Scrappy Hearts Throw by Emily Dennis? That would make a gorgeous soothing quilt.

Why Fruit Tingles? They are a pastel round shaped lolly which I used to spend my pocket money on when I was little- I just did some searching and they have apparently been rebranded to Life Savers Fruit Tingles but I'm keeping with the original name for this bundle :-)

Wednesday 23rd December- Perfectly Pink

Today's curated bundle is Perfectly Pink - by both name and nature. 20 fat quarters of Art Gallery fabric (including Kismet and Terra Kotta and lots of Kona and Bella solids.

Click here for some ideas for what you could make with this bundle. How about Sarah Made's Good Times Quilt in Bed size? With a white background fabric, these pink hues would really pop.

Tuesday 22nd December- Strawberry Hills

Today's curated bundle is Strawberry Hills - 13 fat quarters of Art Gallery Fabrics, Cotton & Steel Primavera (the oranges!) and Kona and Bella solids.

Click here for some ideas of which you could make with this bundle - perhaps Modernly Morgan's Wild Blooms quilt with a white background and  yellow flower centre.

And why Strawberry Hills, Joz, when there are oranges in this bundle? One of the colours in this bundle is called Strawberry and I thought the other pinks and greens look a bit like a strawberry. That said, I almost called it "Orange you glad I didn't say apple" but was worried that might be too out there.

Monday 21st December- Whitsundays Cocktail

Today's curated bundle is Whitsunday's Cocktail- 20 fat quarters of Ruby Star Society Golden Hour, some Art Gallery Fabric and some contrasting Kona and Bella solids.

Click here for some ideas for what you could make with this bundle. I've just updated that listing to include Penelope Handmade's Agnes Quilt in a large throw size which could be perfect for that bundle!

And Whitsundays cocktail? I mean, who doesn't want to go to the Whitsundays? :-)

Sunday 20th December - Sierra Sundown

Today's curated bundle is Sierra Sundown- 21 fat quarters of Ruby Star Society Golden Hour, some Art Gallery Fabric and some contrasting Kona and Bella solids.

Saturday 19th December- Quintana Roo

Today's curated bundle is Quintana Roo with 20 fat quarters including Ruby Star Society Golden Hour and Spark.

Click here for some ideas for what you could make with this bundle. I'm thinking Then Came June's Meadowland quilt could be a great option for this one with some white background fabric

Quintana Roo- my Chief Naming Officer (husband) named this one- it reminded him of one of his trips to Mexico. Side (semi related) story. We met in 2010 but had three "almost meeting" moments before we actually met. One was when in early 2006 when I was travelling around the US with my friend who was the girlfriend at the time of one of Tim's best friends. I was leaving to go home and she stayed on. She dropped me at my gate where I boarded the plane and then she went on another gate to meet up with her boyfriend and... my now Husband (who had just arrived at LAX from Mexico) :-)

Friday 18th December- Golden Raspberries

Today's curated bundle is Golden Raspberries. It has 17 fat quarters including Sharon Holland's Painted Prairie Cornucopia which I think I could have sold about 7 bolts worth already as backing fabric! But i'm holding onto it tightly for the moment to include in bundles :-)

Click here for some ideas for what you could make with this bundle. Or should I say idea. There's only one listed quilt for prime number 17 fat quarters- Blossom Heart quilts Origami quilt, but this would be a perfect option to showcase some of the beautiful prints in this bundle!

Why Golden Raspberries? This is one of my names I came up with, and not one i'm particularly proud of. It has some gold.. and some maroon which sort of looks like raspberries? Not my best moment of fabric bundle naming :-)

Thursday 17th December- Modernly Morgan's Cosmic Crush Quilt kit

Today's curated bundle is a quilt kit. It's Modernly Morgan's Cosmic Crush pattern release day and this kit includes everything you need to make the quilt top (including binding). There are 14 fat quarters from the Art Gallery Fabric Kismet range and I used a 100% linen fabric as the background.

Linen is a bit trickier to use but it was absolutely worth the extra effort ! This is one of the softest, crinkliest and cosiest quilts I have made and it's definitely a keeper.

Wednesday 16th December- Spicer Street

Today's curated bundle is.. Spicer Street. Lots of lovely Art Gallery Fabrics combined with some complimentary Bella and Kona solids. Click here for some ideas on what you could use this bundle for. I'm thinking Sarah Made's Flower Facet quilt with a creamy background :-)

Why Spicer Street? Just before I listed this bundle, my hairdresser called to confirm my appointment. They reminded me they have moved the salon from Queen Street to ... Spicer Street :-) (incidentally into a building that used to be one of our favourite cafes!)

Tuesday 15th December - Peony Valentine

Today's bundle of the day is Peony Valentine. In July of this year, I ordered the entire Art Gallery Fabric Terra Kotta range. When it arrived in September, I received about 3/4 of the range and all sorts of different lengths- some were 8 metres, 7 metres, 10 metres (and to this day, I'm still waiting for the rest to arrive)... ahh COVID and your impact on supply chain and shipping :-) But this is a very convoluted way of saying that I have some Terra Kotta left which I have included in this bundle- mixed with some other AGF favourites include the brown bears from the Open Road collection, and Cinnamon flowers. There are also some gorgeous solids from Devonstone, Bella and Kona and even a Primavera Cotton and Steel star print thrown in.

This bundle has 20 fat quarters- click here for some ideas on what you could make with it. I'm thinking a large throw of Modernly Morgan's Homespun Quilt

Why Peony Valentine? According to Tim "I'm not sure- I thought it sounded good"  :-)
